Growing Our Expertise

It seems like it would be enough to grow, harvest, pack and sell onions. Lots of people do it, we do too. But it’s not that simple. We want to go the extra mile to be better in every step of the process. We care about quality, and that requires experts in every area of our business from production to sustainability, food safety to packaging right up to the sales and marketing process. In fact, we have one of the premier sweet onion experts on our team.

One of those experts is Cliff Riner our VP of Production & Grower Relations. I think it’s fair to call him Mr. Sweet Onion. His work takes him from Georgia to Peru, Texas and Mexico to trial and sample the best sweet onion varieties in the world and make sure we are using the latest production techniques, efficient harvest methods, sustainability tools and quality varieties to grow and deliver the best sweet onion that consumers know and love, every single onion and every single slice and bite.

Our Promise

Premium-Quality

We aim to provide the most consistent, premium-quality and flavorful sweet onions on the market.

ENVIRONMENT

We promise to protect the environment for future generations while ensuring the health and well-being of our farmworkers with our sustainability initiatives

FOOD SAFETY

We ensure all of our onions are safe to eat with our food safety program

Sustainability

Protecting the environment while ensuring the health and well-being of our farmworkers is very important to us.  As a third-generation family farmer, we participate in active conservation programs including land trusts with the Georgia Alabama Land Trust which allows us to preserve forest lands, create buffer zones, prohibit development, and implement land management practices that improve ecosystems and wildlife habitat. But our work doesn’t just stop in Georgia. Wherever we grow we invest in conservation including our efforts to earn the Rainforest Alliance Certification on our Peruvian sweet onion production in Peru (available from August through March).  The Rainforest Alliance is working to solve some of the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time—including the climate crisis—by changing the way the world produces and consumes food.

Promotions

As part of our new strategic direction, we’ve developed seasonal promotions throughout the year to not only assist our retail partners in maximizing sales but provide a platform to focus on issues that resonates with our values.
